News: Except it's not, and the game's developer is full of it.
Naughty America: The Game will be one of the world's first sex-based MMORPGs. That fact alone has brought it quite a bit of notoriety. And according to its developer, Eight Legs, it's even been banned from E3.
Except it hasn't.
According Eight Legs "the soon-to-be-released MMO will not be allowed to participate in the gaming industry's largest tradeshow, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), due to what was described as 'adult content'."
The truth was quickly revealed by Wired's resident sex expert, Regina Lynn, in her blog. It seems that Eight Legs missed the deadline to apply for a booth and Noah Dudley never contacted anyone at the ESA about the appropriateness of Naughty America. He just assumed it would be banned. So I guess E3 goers will have to find some other way to get naughty this year.
Naughty America: The Game is scheduled for a Summer 2006 release.
