News: First it is, then it isn't, now it is again. On the PS2 that is.
Ubisoft has announced today that they are delaying the console version of their popular PC shooter Far Cry. Far Cry Instincts will now be shipping out in early 2005 as opposed to it's original late 2004 release date.
It's also starting to become a game in and of itself in figuring out which consoles Ubisoft's upcoming Far Cry Instincts will appear on when it finally ships as Ubisoft has announced that the PS2 will also receive a version of Far Cry Instincts. When it was first announced, Far Cry Instincts was supposed to be coming to both the Xbox and PS2, but Ubi was being coy with any official announcements. Then E3 came and the game settled in to a nice home as an Xbox exclusive. But now it's back on the PS2 radar as well with this new release date meant to "ensure that both the Xbox and PS2 versions have the same impressive graphics and unique immersive gameplay elements as the highly-regarded Far Cry PC version."
