News: More Wii release date speculation... oh, and a concert tour.
Yesterday, Nintendo announced the dates and lineup for their annual Fusion Tour concert series. Highlighting this year's concert is Hawthorne Heights, Relient K, Emery, Plain White T's and The Sleeping. The tour will also feature a very special guest: the Wii.
Yes, concertgoers will be among the first to get a look at the Wii this fall during the following dates:
Sept. 27 Columbus, OH
Sept. 28 Indianapolis, IN
Sept. 29 Detroit, MI
Sept. 30 Cleveland, OH

While it is not concrete evidence, but there's no tour stop on October 2 or 3. Is that because Nintendo wants everyone to stay home and play with their Wii? Could be. A similar batch of open dates occur between October 29 and November 1, so it's possible the release may fall in there as well.
But one thnig I'm sure of is that the Wii will definitely launch sometime between Spetember 27 and November 11. Because launching on any date after that would lose the momentum of the "sneak peeks" of the Fusion Tour.
But I guess we'll find out for real soon enough.
