News: Rock on Slick Willy, rock on.

Activision and RedOctane have finally confirmed they are bringing Guitar Hero II to the Xbox 360. Harmonix is once again on board to develop it, but an official release date has yet to be revealed.

To go along with the new system, GH2 for the Xbox 360 will be getting a new controller, the all-white X-Plorer.

"The tour will continue the rockin' gameplay Guitar Hero fans have come to enjoy, and will now include expanded Xbox 360 capabilities,Ф said Kai Huang, president of RedOctane. УWith Guitar Hero II for Xbox 360 rock rhythm, lead, or bass guitar tracks with downloadable content and the new X-Plorer controller, designed specifically for the Xbox 360."

And don't expect the game to end with just what's on the disc. RedOctane has plans to create a ton of downloadable content for Guitar Hero II.
