Microsoft has announced that Xbox.com and the Xbox Live service will go down for maintenance on Tuesday, October 17 at midnight Pacific Time. It will be gone "up to 24 hours", so it won't be gone for too long.
So what is Microsoft up to? Well...
"We're adding some cool stuff. And we have to take the service and website offline in order to do it. Secret cool stuff that we'll tell you about when we're back online October 18. Other stuff we'll be talking about later in the fall."
So there you have it. Guess you'll have to find something else to do on the 17th.
