News: The Sims 3, SimCity 5, Black Next-Gen... why does everyone hate EA again?
GameSpot is reporting that EA has revealed some big projects in their quarterly conference call today:
First, Army of Two (Xbox 360, PS3) and Crysis (PC) will both ship sometime in EA's next fiscal year, which is anytime after March 31, 2007.
A Sims game is coming to both the PS3 and Wii. The Wii will get a Wii-specific version of The Sims will the PS3 will get The Sims 2: Holiday Edition. Neither game has a release date.
SimCity 5 and Black Next-Gen were also confirmed as in development. A new Lord of the Rings game was also mentioned, but it is likely the previously announced White Council RPG.
Finally, the BIGGEST announcement to come out of the call came when EA CFO Warren Jenson confirmed that The Sims 3 is in development and that its going to ship sometime in 2008-2009. So Sims fans, prepare to wait.
We'll have more on all of these titles soon.
