News: Sega resurrects another 'Alien' flavored favorite franchise.
After announcing their acquisition of the Alien movie license, Sega revealed another out-of-this-world project. Sega announced that next Summer they planned to resurrect Alien Syndrome, a Master System classic, on the Wii and PSP.
Alien Syndrome features another badass heroine, in this case Earth Command Trooper Aileen Harding, taking on an alien horde. Aileen will take on alien-infested spaceships and giant bosses while wielding over 20 different weapons. These weapons will range from the simple, like flamethrowers to the more creative, such as "quad-barrelled lasers, nanobot swarms that dissolve enemies and incendiary grenades that unleash fire geysers from the ground." Oh yeah.
Alien Syndrome will also include several RPG elements, which will allow players to customize their character in various skills and specialties. Finally, the game will sport a 4-player mode on both the Wii and the PSP for cooperative play.
Alien Syndrome will be developed by Totally Games and will be coming in Summer 2007.
