News: Medal of Honor: Vanguard is being scheduled for March of 2007.
EA has announced the first Medal of Honor for the Nintendo Wii. Titled Medal of Honor: Vanguard, the game is currently scheduled to ship in March of 2007. The latest game from the granddaddy of all World War II First Person Shooters will also be available on the PS2. The game will be developed by EA LA and is said to take full advantage of the Wii's controller.
УMedal of Honor Vanguard features a strong storyline told in classic MOH fashion," explained Matt Sentell, Senior Producer at EALA. УWe are really excited to offer this game both on the PS2 and Wii, which will allow fans to experience MOH in a completely new way.Ф
EA has also released the first story details, which sound suspiciously similar to the upcoming Medal of Honor Airbrone:
Step into the boots of Frank Keegan, Corporal of the 82nd Airborne Division and engage in battles throughout Europe. From Operation Husky on the shores of Sicily to Operation Varsity inside Nazi Germany, you'll fight behind enemy lines in the epic WWII battles that turned America's first paratroopers into heroes of WWII. Featuring spectacular graphics adding to epic combat intensity, Medal of Honor Vanguard makes you the driving force in the struggle to liberate Europe. As the first game in the Medal of Honor series to be released on the Nintendo Wii platform, players can expect Medal of Honor Vanguard to take full advantage of Wii's one-of-a-kind controllers.
Airborne is also on track to be released on the PS2 (along with the PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox and PC) in March. While EA hasn't come out and said Vangaurd is taking over for Airborne on the PS2 (and the Airbrone site still lists the PS2 version), it appears likely.
