News: Dead Rising drips platinum blood.

Capcom has announced they have shipped one million copies of their first Xbox 360 title, Dead Rising. This announcement comes on the eve of the release of their second title for the 360, Lost Planet. They added that this was their 41st game to pass that milestone.

So what does mean for the future of Frank West and the rest of the characters of Dead Rising? Well, if Capcom executive vice president Mark Beaumont is to be believed, lots of sequels.

In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz he said "Bringing out Dead Rising has allowed us to establish a new franchise that we can use for years to come."

I for one can't wait, bring on the sequels Capcom.
