News: Another arcade classic for the XBLA.
Microsoft has announced that Midway's arcade classic Paperboy will be this Wednesday's Arcade release.
Paperboy for the XBLA will feature enhanced graphics and a new two-player co-op mode. It will be available for 400 Microsoft Points (or five USAian dollars). Microsoft had this to say about the game:
"Players control a paperboy on his speedy bicycle delivering newspapers along a busy suburban street. The goal is to deliver a week of daily newspapers to subscribers' homes without damaging their property, all the while avoiding hazards such as grumpy neighbors, annoying dogs and moving vehicles. Miss a delivery too many times and players may lose a subscriber for good.
The coin-op favorite returns but this time it's enhanced with original content specifically designed for Xbox Live Arcade. A new multiplayer mode will allow gamers to deliver the paper co-operatively together on the same console, or over Xbox Live. The game also features new artwork that compliments and enhances the original style, and the audio has been modernized for today's high performance sound systems."
