Microsoft has announced that Halo 3's multiplayer beta will begin on May 16. The beta is currently to anyone who took place in the Rule of Three promotion or to gamers who have purchased a copy of Crackdown with the Halo 3 beta information on the box.
The beta will include three maps never before seen in a Halo game: Snowbound, High Ground and Valhalla. According to Microsoft, players will be in store for plenty of new vehicles and weapons including "the agile Mongoose all-terrain vehicle, the new and improved Assault Rifle, the ferocious Brute Spiker, the devastating Spartan Laser and the treacherous new Spike Grenades."
