News: Seminal action film comes to hi-def on the PS3.
Midway's Stranglehold, a sequel to John Woo's action masterpiece Hard Boiled, will be getting the special edition treatment on Sony's next-gen machine.
Stranglehold: Collector's Edition will retail for $69.99 and it will include the game and the full length version of Hard Boiled on the same Blu-Ray disc.
Hard Boiled was the inspiration for much of the gunplay featured in The Matrix and Midway has promised Stranglehold will feature more of the same as the film's star, Chow Yun-Fat, will supply his voice, likeness and motion-captured body to the game. The movie's director, John Woo, also worked closely with Midway in the development process.
Stranglehold should be in stores in August.
