News: I'm guessing T.H.E. S.E.Q.U.E.L. T.O. F.E.A.R. is too much.
Here's the deal. Vivendi published Monolith Productions' supernatural shooter F.E.A.R. on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Then the two companies had a falling out and Vivendi was given the rights to the F.E.A.R. name and Monolith was allowed to create an in-universe sequel with a new title.
This brings us to today. Vivendi has let it be known that F.E.A.R. 2 is in development, but Monolith is going one step further. Their "Untitled F.E.A.R. Sequel" is coming to the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and they want the fans to give it a title. All of the rules (and how to enter) are currently available at the website NameYourFEAR.com.
Monolith will be accepting entries from June 4 to June 22, 2007. Three finalists will then be chosen and the titles will be presented to the public for a vote from July 23 to July 27, 2007 to decide the final name. These three finalists will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Monolith headquarters to meet with the development team and they will also have their name and likeness included in the game.
Good luck to all who enter and we'll have more on the "Untitled F.E.A.R. Sequel" when it... uh... has a title.
