News: He wants us to 'Eat, Sleep, Play'.
The excitable David Jaffe, creator of such games as God of War and Calling All Cars, has announced he's formed a new game studio with Scott Campbell of Incognito (creators of the upcoming Warhawk). The studio will be based in Utah and will be known as "Eat, Sleep, Play".
This all comes a month after Jaffe first started to deny he's leaving Sony to form an independant studio of his own.
The two game giants have signed a multi-yaer multi-title deal with Sony to create games exclusively for the PS3, PSP and PS2. The first original game will appear sometime in 2008, but the company is wasting no time getting their feet wet by creating a PSP-to-PS2 port of Twisted Metal: Head On for release this fall.
In addition to being a port of the PSP title, Head On for the PS2 will include levels originally planned for a Twisted Metal Black sequel and a documentary about the series (which Jaffe and Campbell helped create).
We'll have more on this new studio (and the games it may create) soon.
