Sega brings Viking: Battle For Asgard to Xbox 360 and PS3 @ Gaming Target

News: The Creative Assembly takes on a new time period of war.

Sega has announced they will be bringing Viking: Battle For Asgard to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early 2008. Developed by The Creative Assembly, the development house behind the Total War series, Viking will tell the story of Skarin, a fearsome Norse warrior.

Viking is a reimagining of Norse myth that pits the goddess Hel against Odin, Lord of Asgard. Hel has raised an army of the undead and only Skarin stands between the zombie hordes and the extinction of mankind.

The game will feature a full fledged battle system that will include dragons, assistance from NPCs and magic. Other features include:

The story of a Viking Hero. Skarin is an uncompromising force. A plaything of the gods rebelling against their selfish agenda. The definitive Viking warrior.

Rich Viking Lore. The violent and glorious world of Viking mythology brought to stunning life. Players will write their own legends to be told around the campfire.
