News: Our nights will be filled with Nights very soon.

Sega has announced two new features that will be included in Nights: Journey of Dreams when it ships for the Wii this fall: a two-player cooperative mode and "network support."

In their announcement this morning, Sega was very careful never to include the words "online multiplayer." Instead, Sega has sneakily couched the online features included in Nights in the phrase "network support." This could mean the game won't feature online play, but would include some other form of "network support" including downloadable content, leaderboards or player communication.

The new Nights will also include Artificial Life (A-Life) mode which "gives gamers the freedom to oversee and develop their own sandbox environment enabling them to capture, raise, and even combine the inhabitants from the world of Nightopia."

We'll have more on Nights: Journey of Dreams soon.
