News: Sony prices their 'not a demo' demo of Gran Turismo 5.
Joystiq has dug through Sony's Tokyo Game Show and found an interesting tidbit concerning Gran Turismo 5 Prologue way in the back: the price.
According to the catalog, the "sampling" of Gran Turismo 5 will be released on December 13th in Japan on both Blu-Ray disc and as a PlayStation Network download. The Blu-Ray version will cost 4,980 yen ($43.10), while the PSN version can be downloaded for 4,500 yen ($38.95). It should be noted this pricing scheme has only been confirmed for Japan. Prices in America have not been revealed by Sony yet.
Sony has always qualified descriptions of the game (or it's price) with the assertion that GT5 Prologue is more than just a demo, sometimes going so far as to call it a full game. This "sampling" of GT5 will include over 40 cars, five tracks and 16-player online racing.
The "full version" of Gran Turismo 5 is currently scheduled to ship sometime in 2008. We'll have more soon.
