News: December 3rd may have just become TBD for the Wii's most antipated title.

Nintendo's Smash Bros. Dojo!! blog, detailing the development of Super Smash Bros. Brawl has dropped another bombshell on us today, following the announcement that Sonic will be a playable character. It seems that the game may no longer make its December 3rd release date.

The blog now lists "TBD" (To Be Determined) under the release date. This follows on the heels of Nintendo pushing back the Japanese release date to January 24. For those of us who wanted to get our brawling on before Christmas this is rather disappointing.

But all is not lost. The offical Nintendo press site still lists Super Smash Bros. Brawl with the December 3rd ship date as does the game's profile page on Nintendo.com.

It's possible the Sonic announcement was meant to soften the blow of a delay, but when we know for sure, we'll let you know.
