News: Cut with your Katana in January.

Koei has announced that Samurai Warriors: Katana will be coming to the Wii on January 15. Formerly known as Samurai Slash, Samurai Warriors: Katana is a first-person swordfighting game developed by Omega Force, the team behind the main Samurai Warriors series.

Samurai Warriors: Katana will turn the Wii Remote into a samurai sword, spear or mighty war hammer for up close and personally fighting. Distance fighting is also an option as your samurai will have access to a bow and arrow, a gun, and a cannon as well.

The game will include three modes of play: an adventure mode, a Trial Mode and a Vs. Mode where two players can compete in eight minigames.

Samurai Warriors: Katana has been rated "T For Teen" and we'll have more soon.
