News: Downloadable version of Lara's first adventure is ready to go.
Eidos has finally (it was originally scheduled for September) released Tomb Raider: Anniversary as a downloadable on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
The downloadable version comes with good news and bad news. First the good news.
Anniversary is available in two parts, with each part retailing for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15). When downloaded together to form the whole game, both halves total $30, or $10 cheaper than the disc-based version.
But the bad news is that both halves of Anniversary weigh in at a hefty 3 GB total. The downloadable version also requires the disc for Tomb Raider: Legend to be in the Xbox 360 so the two games can share the game engine and various assets. So if you don't already own Legend, the DLC version of Anniversary is probably not for you.
We'll have more on Tomb Raider: Anniversary soon.
