News: Sidhe hopes it'll shift more copies on the XBLA.
Sidhe Interactive's GripShift has really made the rounds. First, it was released on the PSP and was considered one of the best early releases on Sony's handheld. In early 2007, the company then brought an enhanced version of the game to the PlayStation Network. Next month, they plan to release the "definitive" version on the Xbox Live Arcade.
GripShift can be best be described as a driving-puzzle-platformer game. This mishmash of genres is what has garnered much of the acclaim for the game and Sidhe plans to add "updated graphics, improved controls and additional single and multiplayer content" to the XBLA version. This new content will include additional singleplayer Challenge courses and a multiplayer Deathmatch mode.
"Veteran players and newcomers to the game will both find something to love in this definitive version of GripShift," said Mario Wynands, Managing Director of Sidhe Interactive. "We've added a substantial amount of new content, including new single player courses and a multiplayer Deathmatch mode for players bent on dominating their friends or climbing to the top of the leaderboards."
We'll have more on GripShift for the XBLA soon.
