News: Street Fighter fans will not be disappointed.
1UP has revealed the first screenshot from the upcoming Street Fighter IV and promised there's plenty more where that came from in the January 2008 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (which should be hitting subscriber's mailboxes any day now).
Hit this link to check out the screenshot in all it's high resolution glory, but first, hang around for a few of the new details 1UP also uncovered.
First, and most importantly, the game will take place in 2 1/2D. The characters will be made up of 3D polygons while interacting on a 2D plane. We also new, that like any good fighting game, Street Fighter IV will add "new moves, locations, and gameplay features."
Finally, 1UP has confirmed the first four characters who will make up the Street Fighter IV lineup: Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Dhalsim.
Now, go check out that screenshot. It's mighty impressive. We'll have more on Street Fighter IV (like which console it's coming to, as Capcom hasn't said yet) soon.
