Castle of Shikigami III shoots up Wii in Spring 08 @ Gaming Target

News: Popular Japanese shooter comes to America courtesy of Aksys Games.

The Shikigami series has had a tough go in America. The first title in the series was released in America with the storyline completely cut out as Mobile Light Force 2. The cover also depicted three crimefighting babes in skintight leather, none of which were in the game. The sequel, Castle Shikigami 2 was released mostly intact in 2005, but the game was, and is, almost impossible to find.

So now we jump to the present and find that Aksys Games has announced they are bringing Castle of Shikigami III to the Wii next Spring. Aksys promises the vertically scrolling shooter will be faithful and will be packed with all of the original features (as well as some new ones):

Tension Bonus System! Your proximity to enemy units and gunfire determines your score and firepower!

10 memorable characters! Each character has their own specialized weapons and powers, anything from chain lightning to psychic blades!

55 possible story combinations! Experience a wide variety of scenarios with fully voiced dialogue!
