News: The classic adventure game will be released in March.
Empire Interactive has announced they will be bringing Myst for the Nintendo DS to America this March.
The classic adventure game will be redone for the DS with a new control scheme that uses the stylus. The upper screen will also be used to provide additional information to the player. Remastered video and audio and an all-new age, the Rime Age, will also be included in the DS version of Myst.
Other enhancements new to the DS version include a set of tools, the magnifying glass (to zoom in on an area), camera (to take a picture of an area for future reference), notebook (to keep a diary of notes), and map (to mark locations), that will help players figure out Myst's many puzzles.
"As one of the strongest video game franchises in history, with more than 12 million games sold, we felt it was only natural to partner with Hoplite Research and Cyan Worlds to bring Myst to an innovative system like the DS," said Karim Farghaly, vice president of sales, Empire Interactive. "The DS addition to the Myst game library allows players to take advantage of the new features created exclusively for the DS, while still maintaining the integrity of this classic game, creating a refreshed, on-the-go adventure experience for players of all ages."
We'll have more on Myst soon.
