News: BioShock sequel confirmed?
Epic Games and 2K Games have announced that 2K has licensed the Unreal Engine 3 for use in future "unannounced games."
"2K had a very positive experience working with Epic's Unreal Engine 3 since it enables games to perform exceptionally well on both console and the PC,Ф said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. УEpic's technology and support is expected to help 2K produce world-class titles for games on any platform.Ф
УWe are excited about continuing our relationship with 2K based on our past success with the company,Ф said Mark Rein, vice president of Epic Games. УWe have no doubt that the Unreal Engine 3 will continue to assist 2K in producing the industry's most amazing and original games.Ф
2K previously used the Unreal Engine 3 in the development of last year's game of the year
BioShock. Recent rumors have heavily pointed to a sequel/prequel to that game is already in development. Could this be even more proof that Ken Levine and company will be returning to Rapture soon?
We'll keep you posted.
