News: A release date has finally been announced.
EA and Maxis have stopped being vague with the release date for the highly anticipated Spore. Today, the two companies confirmed that Will Wright's next game will be released on September 7 for the PC, Mac and DS.

Spore is the brainchild of Sims creator Will Wright and asks players to oversee the evolution of a planet from single-celled organisms (the spore of the title) all the way to the space age.
