News: Another sports game collection for the Wii.

THQ has announced that they will be bringing another sports game collection to the Wii this summer in the form of Big Beach Sports. Big Beach Sports will include plenty of popular beach sports such as football, volleyball, soccer, cricket, disc golf and bocce. The games will be controlled with the Wii Remote with "real life movements."

УBig Beach Sports drops players into a seaside resort setting with a wide variety of compelling outdoor sports to play and master,Ф said Randy Shoemaker, director, global brand management, THQ. УSports including bocce, cricket and disc golf are making their Wii debuts and combined with the inclusion of more traditional games like soccer, football and volleyball, Big Beach Sports will be an appealing title for the growing audience of Wii gamers.Ф

УThe innovative Wii Remote controller has revolutionized sports gaming, letting us involve the player like never before,Ф said Steve Dauterman, senior vice president of product development, THQ. УBig Beach Sports applies the control scheme to each of the varied sports featured, letting players pick up and play the games they know and learn the ones they don't know.Ф

Big Beach Sports is being developed by HB Studios and will include both single-player tournament and four-player game modes. We'll have more soon.
