News: But we can all dream can't we?
The April 2008 issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly is working it's way towards the mailboxes of subscribers everywhere and with comes the annual EGM April Fool's Day prank.
This year, the magazine has slipped in a preview of Bungie's next project for the Xbox 360, Lego Halo. The game would supposedly follow the adventures of the Master Chief across all three Halo titles in signature Lego style with a little first person shooting thrown in.
While this would no doubt make a fantastic game (why hasn't someone used the Lego license to make a pure shooter?) and sell millions of copies, it is of course only a prank. But that didn't stop the boys at
Xbox 360 Fanboy from believing. Silly fanboys, they'll believe anything.
And why shouldn't they believe? After all, today is
March 1st. I think it's time to retire the April Fool's Day prank EGMers.
