Futurama

News: Maybe. We're not sure. And neither is Fox.

Good news everyone! TVShowsOnDVD.com is reporting that the "lost episode" cut-scenes from the Futurama game that appeared on the PS2 and Xbox might appear on the next DVD movie, Futurama: The Beast With a Billion Backs.

According to TVShowsOnDVD.com, Fox issued a press release detailing the DVD's release date (June 24) and a sizzling selection of special features. They then immediately turned around and said "Wait! The special features aren't final yet! They might change!"

So the DVD might get the "lost episode" (along with a commentary track featuring... someone, that wasn't announced either) or it might not. But if it does, fans who didn't get a chance to play the underrated (but flawed) game (which,
contrary to popular belief, is not rare and can easily be found on eBay for $15-30) can finally get a chance to see the "lost episode" created by the Futurama writing crew and overseen by Matt Groening himself.

In the episode (and game), Mom buys 51% of everything in the world and becomes the de factor leader of everyone (including Planet Express). So it's up to Fry, Bender, Leela and Dr. Zoidberg to foil her plan and return the Earth to its... um... rightful leader... President Nixon's Head.

We'll have more on the Futurama "lost episode" (and hopefully more good news) soon.
