News: I don't get Strong Bad, but he's coming to the Wii and PC.
Telltale Games appears to be on a Wii roll this week. A few days after announcing they would bring Sam & Max: Season One to the Wii this fall, they have now announced they will be bringing Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People to the Wii through the WiiWare downloadable service. The game will also be released for the PC.
The game will be released in June, and like Telltale's Sam & Max games, will be released in five episodes. A new episode will appear each month, comprising the first "season" of the game. Pricing details on each episode have not been announced as of yet.
The game will be created with the full cooperation of Strong Bad creators Matt and Mike Chapman. According to Telltale, the Chapmans are working closely with the company on the game's art style, storylines, and scripts.
Playing to Telltale's strength, the game will play out like a traditional adventure game with a big Strong Bad influence: "The player uncovers each episode's comedic plot through character interaction, dialogue-based puzzles, and the use (and abuse) of inventory items. In addition, each episode will be crammed with time-wasters to keep players poking around in the world, including Strong Bad emails to check, prank phone calls to place, and mini-games styled after the arcade games on the Homestarrunner.com website."
We'll have more soon.
