Nintendo has announced that they plan to ship 25 million Wii consoles to stores worldwide during their current fiscal year (April 1, 2008 - March 31, 2009). This will be a 34% increase over the 18.61 million systems they shipped in their last fiscal year. So if you're still looking for a Wii, this might be your year.
Nintendo has also said that 24.45 million consoles have been shipped to stores worldwide since the Wii launched in November 2006.
