News: And it includes special Resident Evil 5 footage too.
The Direct-To-DVD Resident Evil movie, Resident Evil: Degeneration, will be coming to DVD and Blu-Ray on December 30.
The movie, which uses CGI animation very similar to the games, will feature Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield and take place in the aftermath of Resident Evil 4. It seems terrorists have taken over an airport and are threatening to release the T-Virus in major cities around the world. But first, one of the hostages they've zombified escapes and begins infecting the rest of the airport. And it's up to Leon and Claire to stop the zombies and the terrorists. And they only have four hours (But I'll bet Jack Bauer could save the day in two).
The DVD will include a bunch of special features including a featurette called "The Generation of Degeneration", character profiles, voice bloopers, an "interview" with Leon, the movie trailer, a Resident Evil 5 trailer, and special game footage from Resident Evil 5. The Blu-Ray will add a Picture-in-Picture viewing option and a pop-up trivia track.
