News: More announced unannounced games from EA.
Electronuic Arts has continued their spree of quasi-announcing new games and even after Dead Space 2, Army of Two 2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the results should make plenty of people happy.
First, during an EA conference call yesterday, CEO John Riccitiello revealed that
Mercenaries 3 is in the works. No other information was revealed, but he did say that
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames has sold almost two million copies worldwide since it's release in August. So that might have something to do with the gung-ho attitude around part three.
Next,
Variety's Cut Scene blog has discovered that EA is working on a game based around
Inferno, the first part of Dante Alighieri's
Divine Comedy and the story of his journey through hell. Variety even pointed out that the poem would work well as a video game as Hell is already broken up into nine "levels." Variety didn't reveal any more but it sounds like it could be epic (pun intended!).
We'll have more soon.
