News: F.E.A.R. 2, bikini-clad zombie slayers and Grindhouse humor pervade this week's batch of games.
This is the week for scary games as a trio of fearful titles lands on store shelves in the next few days. First, the scary supernatural child Alma returns in FEAR 2: Project Origin (PC, PS3, Xbox 360). Next, Sega is bringing the Grindhouse-inspired House of the Dead: Overkill, a prequel to the light gun shooter series, to the Wii. Finally, the Onechanbara series comes to America with the... colorfully named... Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers (Wii) and Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad (Xbox 360).
A few other major releases round out the week including another compilation of classic Sega games (Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection), an "action girl" beat 'em up (X-Blades), a kart racer (NASCAR Kart Racing), and a strategy game where players control bugs and snakes instead of tanks and planes (Deadly Creatures).
