News: The battle of the century wages war in a PC RTS this April.

While Theatre of War 2 will be focusing on the more serious side of World War II, another real time strategy game set in that era will be released on the PC in April and it is a bit... less serious. Mezmer Games has announced they will be publishing Stalin Vs. Martians for the PC this April.

Developed by a three team alliance of Black Wing Foundation, Dreamlore and N-Game, Stalin Vs. Martians is a comical, over-the-top romp through an alternate post World War II Russia. Or is it?...

The player controls the Red Army as it defends Earth from the Martian Invasion of 1942, the highly classified military operation which even today remains a closely guarded state secret. Stalin himself conducts the mission briefings, and later even becomes a playable unit.

The bold leader is duly serious even as he faces the most ridiculous threat the world has ever known. The game itself is far from standard RTS fare; this is not a realistic and deeply strategic war simulation, but a straightforward, fun and light-hearted arcade-style game complete with power-ups falling from conquered foes in the form of bright shiny coins.

The first trailer can be found below and in addition to the first footage of the gameplay found in Stalin Vs. Martians, it also features a dancing Stalin. Just try and not watch it now. I dare you.
