News: Army of Two 2 will be coming to the PS3, PSP and Xbox 360.



As expected, Electronic Arts has announced a sequel to their co-op shooter Army of Two today. Sadly, Army of Two 2 will actually be called Army of Two: The 40th Day and will be coming to the PlayStation 3, PSP and Xbox 360 this Winter (A.K.A. January - March 2010). It will once again be developed by EA Montreal.

Little was revealed about the game. But EA did say main characters Rios and Salem will return as they find themselves stuck in a Shanghai, China that is being struck by terrorist attacks that look like natural disasters. Like all sequels, EA also promised that the main gimmick of the first game, the co-op moves, would be greatly improved and expanded on in the sequel.

"With Army of Two: The 40th Day, we're pushing the tactical two-man military team into new battlegrounds offering a completely organic and rich co-op experience to deliver an action-packed co-op shooter this winter,? says Reid Schneider, Executive Producer, EA Montreal. ?As chaos blankets Shanghai, China, you must rely on your partner to survive as you weave through a broken city left devastated in a mysterious wake.?
