New Releases (Week of 3/23/09) @ Gaming Target

News: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, Guitar Hero: Metallica, Wanted and a whole host of other games are coming this week.

Are you ready to rock? If so, then Activision has the game for you as Guitar Hero: Metallica will be released on the PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360. Speaking of rock, The Rock will appear in the latest WWE wrestling game, WWE Legends of WrestleMania (PS3, Xbox 360). And speaking of things that rock, the movie Wanted was adapted as a video game titled Wanted: Weapons of Fate (PC, PS3, Xbox 360). Since the game isn't being released until Tuesday, it's anybody's guess if it rocks like the movie.

A series of first also highlight this week's new releases including Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, the first cross-platform DS and Wii game. Another first is Vin Diesel's Wheelman (PC, PS3, Xbox 360), the actor's first video game appearance not based on one of his movies. Finally, there's the first appearance of the Command & Conquer series on the PS3 with the "Ultimate Edition" of Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.

A variety of other games round out this week's new release list. They include...

Monsters vs Aliens (DS, PC, PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360), the latest Dreamworks Animation film-to-game adaptation

Tenchu: Shadow Assassins (PSP), the latest Tenchu game, now on the PSP

Stormrise (PC, PS3, Xbox 360), the latest real time strategy game from The Creative Assembly

Ultimate Ninja 4: Naruto Shippuden (PS2), the latest Naruto game

And Gardening Mama (DS), a gardening sim from the makers of Cooking Mama
