News: Sony Europe to the rescue.
When Sony announced Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier on the PlayStation.Blog, they didn't reveal much more than who was developing it (High Impact Games) and when it would be released (sometime in 2009. Thankfully, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe was able to supply a bit more information.
According to SCEE, The Lost Frontier will take place after the Jak trilogy and will essentially be Jak and Daxter 4. They even dropped a few more story details about the "air priates":
Jak and furry friend Daxter team up with their friend Kiera on her quest to become a Sage and save their world from the threat of darkness. As the environment of their planet slowly dies, our two worldly heroes embark on a mission to protect their world from the threat of Уdark ecoФ.
Finally, Sony's European arm revealed that Jak and Daxter would take to the sky in The Lost Frontier in five different types of aircraft. These aircraft will then be used to engage the air pirates in dogfights with the Gunstaff, a new weapon that will used to unlock other weapons new to the series.
