News: For Virtual Console games that is.

Innex has announced that starting this June, they will be the exclusive distributor of the Virtual Retro Adaptor for the Wii. What does the Virtual Retro Adaptor do? Well, it plugs into the Wii's GameCube port and allows gamers to use an NES, Super NES or Nintendo 64 controller in Virtual Console games.

The adaptor was developed by Komodo and will be on hand at this year's E3 event. After that, it will be sold for a suggested retail price of $19.99.

УWhether you're a young kid or middle aged gaming fanatic, the Retro Adapter is perfect for controlling all the great Nintendo titles from the last 25 years,Ф stated Titi Ngoy, President of Innex. УThe Retro Adapter allows you to step back in time and play all the classics the way they were meant to be played using the original controllers. The old school is now the new cool.Ф

While there may not be much of a market for people looking to use their old NES and Super NES controllers on the Wii (a sideways Wii Remote and the Classic Controller fill those niches nicely), having controller support for the N64 controller will make playing Nintendo 64 games through the Virtual Console much easier. The Classic Controller is a decent substitute, but it's not the same.

We'll have more soon.
