News: Was there ever a doubt?

You know, there might just be something to this Twitter thing. GameTrailers' Geoff Keighley spoke to Jack Tretton, the CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America, at E3 and he confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be coming to the PlayStation 3 in addition to the Xbox 360.

This follows up a similar statement from Microsoft's Vice President John Schappert, who told G4 that MGS Rising wasn't exclusive to the Xbox 360, but declined to outright say it was also coming to the PS3. Of course, why would he admit that?

Here's what Schappert said:

"You know, we didn't say that it was exclusive. We said that the next Metal Gear will be coming [to Xbox 360]."

Metal Gear Solid: Rising still has no official release date. We'll have more soon.
