News: Capcom's Chris Kramer reveals a tiny bit more on Resident Evil Portable.

During this year's E3, an image from Resident Evil Portable appeared during the PSP portion of Sony's Press Conference for a split second. Revealing little more than the logo (and a shambling horde of zombies), the image showed that it seemed unlikely gamers would be getting their hands on the first PSP entry in the series anytime soon.

Yesterday, Capcom's Chris Kramer revealed a little more about the game on the Capcom-Unity blog and confirmed the game's "not anytime soon" status.

According to Kramer, Resident Evil Portable will definitely not be available this October when the PSP Go launches, but he did say the game is being developed with Sony's upgrade of the PSP in mind. He also said that Capcom is working very closely with Sony on the game and that it will feature a brand new story in the Resident Evil universe (AKA, it won't be a remake of any previous Resident Evil game, as Capcom is fond of doing). And not only is the story brand new, but Kramer desribes the game as something "totally different" for the series:

I've managed to sneak a look at a very early game design document for this title and all I am allowed to say is: Wow. Totally different for a Resident Evil game.

We'll have more soon.
