Serious Sam blasts XBLA this Summer @ Gaming Target

News: Sam gets the HD treatment on the XBLA.

Majesco has announced they've teamed up with developers Croteam and Devolver Digital to bring the Serious Sam series to the Xbox Live Arcade this Summer.

Sam's first adventure will be upgraded to high definition and released in the late Summer as Serious Sam: The First Encounter HD. According to Majesco, it will be retooled and revamped along with being created using an all-new version of the CroTech engine.

Croteam (who originally created Serious Sam) will work with new developer Devolver Digital to bring the series back the way fans remember it:

Serious Sam HD is not your mother's generic, large-scale, orchestral scored, Space Marine-themed epic FPS with dialog that pretends it's an RPG...instead, Serious Sam HD is a grab you by the jibblies run and gun, twitch FPS: BIG guns, TONS of enemies, 4-Player Online Co-Op and stunningly superfluous HD graphics that rival retail boxed games.
